9 Theory

9 Theory is the solo project of eclectic LA-based producer, singer/songwriter, and recording/mixing engineer, Gabe Lehner, who has been passionately focused on creating music for 25 years. With a love for learning guitar and writing songs that slowly evolved into an obsession with producing, recording, and making beats, Gabe has come into his own as a renowned producer with a knack for effectively blending different genres of electronic, indie rock, and hip-hop into an original, unique sound. This style of head-bobbing genre-blending has led to collaborations with artists like Emancipator, CloZee, and Champagne Drip, official remixes for many artists including Jason Mraz, and playing hundreds of live shows including music festivals such as Coachella, Lightning In A Bottle, Camp Bisco, and Electric Forest.

Torii Wolf

Torii Wolf is an LA-based composer who believes in music’s power to transcend genre, gender, time and space. Wolf’s primal, sensual style has never failed to create a sense of intimacy with their listeners whether that be in their raw singer-songwriter capacity or collaborating on a hip hop track with international sensation Macklemore. Wolf’s unique talents and vision have led them to multiple tours including an international tour with the legendary DJ Premier where Wolf travelled across 9 countries with at least 16 sold out shows, including a sold-out Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado with Disclosure headlining.

“Torii has such a weird, wicked style,” Premier says. “It’s just very left field—reminiscent of a Bjork or something like that. They are so unique and versatile; they write, sing, and they are an accomplished guitarist and drummer. But image-wise, there is no comparison. Subject-wise, Torii is in a whole different place.”

Wolf’s unique talents and vision have led them to collaborate with several notable artists, to name a few: Dilated Peoples, Tricky, Araab Muzik, Rapsody, Mike Zombie and Daru Jones.

Wolf specializes in bringing the cerebral '90s trip-hop and alternative rock (pioneered by acts like Portishead, Massive Attack and Radiohead) into the 21st century. Their ghostly voice has been called a “spiritual trumpet,” an apt description given that they often work from an emotional and guttural place with their music.

“I like how music can be a bridge to the spiritual world,” Wolf says. “I want to use my music to build a safe space for people to feel.” Torii strives to maintain a light heart while awakening deep emotions and physical responses in listeners. They want the music to be about breaking down preconceived ideas and giving audiences an experience that transcends.

Wolf also has experience making music in the media space from video games, television series, films, commercials, and trailers (Netflix, Hulu, HBO, Amazon Prime, CW and VH1 to name but a few).
